Where are your Branches and Showroom locations?

General Plumbing Supply Branches are located throughout Central and Northern New Jersey with branches in Edison, Morris Plains, Bayonne, Dover, Union, Ridgefield, Middletown, Hawthorne, Orange, Tenafly, Lakewood and Matawan. Our GPS Showrooms are located at our branches in Edison, Morris Plains, Bayonne, Hawthorne, Orange, Bergenfield, Lakewood and Matawan.

What are your hours of operation?

Our branches are open from 7 am to 5 pm with hours until 1pm on Saturdays. The showroom are open from Monday through Saturday with varying hours so please check the contact information on the site or call the showroom directly. (Saturday hours vary seasonally) We offer extended hours on Thursday nights until 8pm for your convenience.

How long has your business been in operation?

General Plumbing Supply was founded in 1910 in Bayonne, New Jersey as Goldberg Plumbing Supply. Over 100 years later and thousands of plumbing, heating, cooling, and design projects later, GPS can offer more experience than anyone around.

Is everyone allowed to buy at General Plumbing Supply and our Showrooms?

General Plumbing Supply Showrooms are open to everyone. Our Showrooms specialists are experienced dealing with homeowners and plumbing contractors alike, so feel free to stop in and receive the service and care that you deserve.

Does General Plumbing Supply deliver?

Yes. General Plumbing Supply maintains a fleet of nearly 40 delivery trucks in a variety of sizes to support our customer base. Deliveries can be scheduled for next day service. Call one of our salesmen to discuss today.

If I want to visit one of your showrooms, is it best to make an appointment?

Yes, but it is not necessary. We are always happy to sit down with walk-in customers so feel free to stop by at your convenience. A scheduled consultation will allow us to save you time as our staff can get a sense of your tastes before you step into our showroom. GPS has six beautifully designed showrooms offering a variety of looks for both kitchens and baths with traditional favorites and the newest innovations.

Does General Plumbing Supply offer an installation service for the products they supply?

No, but if you do not have a plumber or contractor, we would be happy to recommend someone to meet your particular needs.

Do you carry anything else besides plumbing supplies for the bath and kitchen?

Yes, we not only carry plumbing supplies for the kitchen and bath, but we have all of the other products and accessories needed to make these rooms the most beautiful rooms in your home. We carry multiple lines of countertops, cabinetry, ventilation systems, towel warmers and water filtration systems just to name a few.

Will I be able to select my own products with a wide degree of styles and cabinets?

Sure. All of the lines we carry have many styles and finishes to match your tastes for all faucets, fixtures, countertops and tiles. Do I have to design the kitchen or bathroom myself?
